Race Introduction
Speed, power, and technique in one all-out showdown. The Hong Kong, China Surf and Standup Paddle Association presents the Hong Kong SUP Sprint Race 2026 — an event built for paddlers who live for speed and the thrill of the race.
Leave the long-distance endurance grind behind — the sprint is all about explosive power and split-second reactions. From title contenders to first-time racers, there is a place on the start line for every paddler:
- Competitive paddlers — the perfect proving ground to sharpen your starts, turns, and sprint finishes;
- Weekend paddlers — the ideal stage to challenge yourself and chase the rush of high-speed racing;
- Newcomers — an approachable first step into official racing and the energy of race day.
It is also an ideal chance to prepare for the Hong Kong SUP Championship — a major event on the Association’s calendar — building valuable race experience and official ranking points along the way.
The race takes place on Sunday, 16 August 2026 at Sha Ha, Sai Kung, with Men’s and Women’s Open (no age limit), Adult (35 or above), and Youth (8–17) categories. The full course and race format will be announced soon.
Every finisher receives:
- An official race jersey assigned by the Association
- A finisher medal
- Official annual ranking points that count toward the Association’s year-end standings
Places are limited. Registration closes Wednesday, 5 August 2026 — sign up now and battle it out on the water!
